On eBay is shown this weight as Paul Ysart weight:

Hi Lothar.

Similar style to some of Paul Ysart's, certainly. But Caithness, Selkirk(?) and others in Northern Europe have made this type of weight. This one looks rather dull to me for one of Paul's, but you cannot be certain.

bears a likeness to thuringan paperweights - in the manner of if it were an oil painting....i think thats as close as this piece could get to paul ysart.....
