Hello All
I found this yesterday in a small shop on another trip out to western NSW.
It seemed to me to have very similar characteristics to the Seguso lamp I found a few weeks ago. There was the remains of the glue of the sticker on the base and I thought it made a similar outline to the seguso sticker, it dissapeared when I washed it off.
The stopper is broken which is a pity.
Questions that spring to mind:-
Is this another Seguso Alabastro/Opalino piece?
Is it possible to get another stopper and have it ground in or could it be repaired?
regards
Ardy

Ardy, it definitely looks like an A. Seguso alabastro bottle. There are several similar in Leslie Pina's book. It is a shame the stopper is broken. Finding the right stopper can be a daunting task. I would repair the one you have. Perhaps a broken bottle will appear soon and you'll be able to buy it for its stopper at a low cost.
Great find, even with the broken stopper.

Isn't that lovely Anita?
That is what I hoped it would be. Someone had glued the top on to it but I managed to get it off without damaging the piece.
Will keep my eyes open for a replacement stopper but there is a guy in our area who repairs and replaces stoppers but this might be too hard to get glass to match.
Delighted with it.
Bought a couple of other pieces which I will put on the site.
thanks again
