Title: Pressed Carnival iridescent bowl with scrolls and leaves ... id ?
Post by: NKP on April 29, 2009, 11:13:51 AM
Just found this pressed glass scalloped bowl/plate with scrolls and leaves on an iridescent purple/green background (diameter: 25 cm.)

I instantly liked it but have no clue whatsoever to who the maker could be. Any ideas ?

It's Carnival Glass isn't it?  Not my thing but if you put it in the heading of your thread Glen (the oracle on all things Carnival) might see it and be able to help.

On a separate note: are they your photos?

"Feathered Serpent" by Fenton in cobalt blue.

Updated to add (in case you want the extra info) the exterior pattern is called "Honeycomb & Clover"

 gosh that's weird - I dunno if the Gremlins are causing mischief here today but the two photos were definitely showing a markplaats.nl watermark earlier...  I'm wondering if the OP has since cropped out the watermark.

Thanks both for your introduction to this new world of Carnival glass !

ah OK well, if you didn't realise it was a no-no I'm sure no-one will mind this time (if you still have editing time in your first post please could you remove the photos and replace them with a link to the original source of the photos - markplaats).  Could you also read up on copyright - there should be some posts here on this board.  Many of us here are website owners and having photos lifted and posted up elsewhere without obtaining prior permission of the copyright owner is a big concern.

Thanks.

Hi NPK,

I've had to remove the images you posted, as we don't allow copying of images from other boards, unless you've got express permission from the owner of the photographs and you state this in the post.
