Nice find - I have a couple of Edenfalk's designs for Skruf too.  It's a huge shame yours appears to have such heavy liming/clouding but these things were made to be used so I guess we can't moan about it!

If it's simply grime then nothing beats elbow grease and lots of warm soapy water - however, if it's liming and the surface of the glass itself is damaged then nothing other than professional repolishing will remove it.

have you tried Mark Hill's recipe of Coca Cola, for removing deposits. -  it might work.        Cheers           Paul  S.

Hi, l find using brown sauce to remove stains from glass pretty good
leave on overnight and simply rinse with warm water
good luck

it is obviously not a deposit but damaged by acid etched into the surface - so more acid will not help.

Hi,

I too have the same dilemma with not one but NOW two decanters- A Kluk Kluk and FT188. Having also tried the  coca cola method and steradent,  I took the opportunity to ask both Mark Hill and Ron Wheeler at the glass fair yesterday.
Mr Wheeler suggested "Magic Balls ", which can be purchased from Lakeland for just over £3.

I will shortly be placing an order as I have now run out of coke! (Have just filled up my FT188 for the second time!)

Lovely vase, reminds me a little of H Tynell which I let slip through my fingers yesterday, was spoilt for choice..... went home clutching a Mdina Lollipop..... poles apart, I know......

Sharron -:)

Checked out the price- £3.91, but delivery is £4.25, for purchases under £50....... Sharron

Magic balls won't help with water staining, although they are good at inaccessible muck.

As Christine & Ivo have already said - none of those things will help with surface damaged glass.  The *only* way to rid the surface of that type of cloudiness is to have it professionally polished.

Magic Balls (which I use), Coca-Cola and Steradents are only good on dirt and grime - nothing more.
