Super Jug and just one glass. Im sure ive seen similar and im sure its English.
1930s,40s or 50s . Really well made, polished pontil (jug) 9 ribbed circles with blue enamel. 7 ribs on glass.
It has a light irridescent finish. I had trouble cleaning grime off this one and was naughty and put it
in the dishwasher, its come out like new! (apart from age wear and the odd scratch! )
Any ideas??
Cheers

I also feel its not English .jp

I wasnt too worried about this bowl, but its bugging me now!
It reminds me of the pictures of the Housewife of the 1950s in her new modern kitchen, which she never left, flowery chintz skirt, making dinner for the Hubbie in his suit, pipe and slippers 2.4 kids, maybe thats what made me think English.
Now im thinking its a very good quality piece of glass, and could be 30s or 40s.
I will keep looking,
any other suggestions of origin, welcome ;)
Cheers

Ah hah!
I think i may have found a clue, Im sure everyone has Millers Glass Jeanette Hayhurst 2001,
page 62, A Bohemian glass decanter, blue dot decoration.
I think ive seen other similar examples in the odd auction so it seemed vaguley familiar.
My jug also has 9 rings and with the iridescence, im now crossing Europe, and thinking Deco, Bohemian,
Czech, Austrian ? 1920s 30s.
Any one think im getting warmer?

Dunbar is a possibility, as are West Virginia Glass Specialty and Louie Glass Co., both of Weston, West Virginia, USA.
