Title: SOWERBY VICTORIAN GLASS HANDS???

A pair of milk glass hands.  Does anyone know who made these, and whats their current value???  any help greatfully accepted. :)

These appear to have been made by different companies.  Westmoreland Glass Company in the USA being one company who made them.  Portieux in France too I think? They were originally used to place calling cards on.  Sometimes called 'Pauper's hands'.  They have been discussed here in the past, but I'm unable to locate the posting.  I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be able to give you more info.  More recently, Avon ones have appeared.

You'd be surprised at how many old-looking glass items are made for Avon (not by) and some of them are collectable. They are often marked though

They often pop up in antique centres, so not rare
