Hi
quite some time ago i remember seeing a discussion about these silvered pieces...by Marcus.
Am not sure whether this is a piece treated in that fashion....silvered...i think the post covered a bronze piece.
Any ideas please and thank u for loooking.

Norman,
it is not Pavel Pánek but much older pattern "wine" - Heřmanova huť, see Marcus Sklo Union Database pattern 20311 ( I hope).

Don't tell me we finally have a family relationship for this piece?

Hi Jindrich
so yes i did look at that earlier but was not sure....this piece is rather stunning in its own way...firstly the bowl is very thick and the silvering makes the decoration look twice as bold.
So once again thanks for the good advice.
best

Hi Ivo,
Yes we do. Miroslav Kubinec for Hermanova Hut, pattern number 20344, pattern name "Lotus", 1983 catalogue on the CD. Metallic and iridised finishes appear in the post-communist era.
Re "Wine", 20311, as Jindrich correctly states, but note that the late pattern number indicates a later 1980s addition to the pattern range.

Huuuu,
"Wine" pattern must be relatively old, I foound it in CGR 1957/9 - pattern number 19834 - also in Marcus's database. Seem to me that 20311 is a bit refreshed 19834, rim looks less precious. I suppose that it was produced also after privatisation, I saw complete set of big bowl + 6 little bowls labeled with Libs paper label at flea market today.
