Post by: lowersaxony on May 14, 2009, 02:56:07 PM
Hi all, this is a german fleamarket found of the last winter, unfortunately still in my "ID-me" list. it looks a bit like italian / murano glass to me but i could be wrong (i`m more in ceramics), so possibly asian rubbish? thank you for all comments!

Kevin

It is extremely unlikely that your piece has ever visited Italy. The finish of the bottom is so course that I'd suspect Romania, China, Poland or Ukraine as country of origin. The colour, however, is quite good and so is the shape. It is not rubbish. Use it for flowers - it should be quite good with yellow Gerbera.

I think that's from China. Anyway at 99.9% not made in Murano. Colors, surface and not polished base say not Murano.

Sincerely

Alex
