Hello All,
I bought this several years ago at an auction and really know nothing about it other than it is signed Tapio Wirkkala 3513 and I love it. Measures 8.5 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. I am familiar with Tapio Wirkkala and his work, but I have not been able to find another like this online. Any information regarding the piece would be greatly appreciated.... Design name? Time frame? Company it was done for?
Thanks again, Craig

Hi Craig,
pic of your vase here,

Maljakko.?
There is a comment in finnish on there?
and a possible answer,
'Minulla on tällainen Tapio Wirkkalan maljakko 3513, isäni sai sen 60-vuotissyntymäpäivälahjaksi v. 1967. Mistä näiden hintoja voi tarkistaa? '
No idea what it says, but i can see 1967 ;D
Cheers
Andy

Maljakko = Finnish for 'vase'.
The comment is someone asking for a valuation as their father has one that he bought in 1967.

Oh well,
narrowed it down to 1967 or earlier, the design anyway!
:D

According to the information there it is an Iittala vase and was in their production catalogue from 1966-1969. I kind of thought 1960's, but you never know....
Nice site by the way, Thanks Andy.
