i bought this piece off a car boot around a year ago, for a couple of quid at the time i just grabbed it because it was signed. I'm not really sure what it is but i think the signiature is Lalique but i'm just not 100% sure its quite right.. if anybody can give me some info that would be great
21cms tall gorgeous colbolt blue with clear glass base, irridescent sheen all over..

Can we see the rest of it , i am sure that is not a lalique signature, not neat enough .imho . what say others ?
-
sorry now trying to get one on, im having problems with getting pictures on here...not that great with technology lol
-
its one of those things where the more you look the less you see and all i can see is the "lique" at the end, ive seen a few older lalique signiatures which look quite similar in text but its just that first bit that doesnt sit well with me..
-
I would be very surprised if this turned out to be Lalique. I think it is very unlikely.... ;)
-
Lalique is pressed, not blown - so we know what it aint....
-
AHHHA showing my ignorance ;D lol i didnt realise that Lalique was 100% pressed across the board..many thanks for that info.. now to the hardest part trying to pin down what it is, ive spent many an hour searching through websites, antiques books and as many glass books as ive been able to get my hands on
Still if i dont manage to get anywhere its a pretty vase, so may have to just remain in my cabinet as a piece i like and not make me my retirement fund just yet ;D

I pasted the signature into a Word document, enlarged it and changed it to grayscale and am pretty certain it reads Zellique
Hil :)

I was about to write Zellique, Hil. Zellique is a very good USA company that does beautiful art glass vases. It's not Lalique, but it's not bad at all.
