As long as I have the camera out..........
This is a piece purchased at a local auction many years ago. The estate was a woman that had shopped glass at thrift stores for many decades. The estate was filled with a very large number of pieces of early Steuben and she definitely had an eye for great quality. This piece has the feel and finish of Steuben quality, but it is not in any reference book I have on Steuben that I can find. The color is also not quite right for Steuben that I am familiar with. It has a beautifully dished and polished pontil, and has age appropriate wear on the foot edge to date it as a relatively early piece.... probably 1920 or so... It is a large piece measuring 10 inches in diameter and 5 inches tall. Any help here would be greatly appreciated, as many years of research have led me nowhere.....
