I picked this up at the weekend, bought it because of the unusual pinky red colour,
and the quality.
a red stripe in the glass, very evenly done, a diamond pattern on outside, i presume mould blown,
and a polished pontil. 4 inches wide.

I believe it is Stevens and Williams often on ebay as Whitefriars but it aint . Perhaps Nigel can confirm . jp

Smashing piece,did S&W do this with a black spiral as I saw a piece recently(inverted hat shaped bowl) and wondered,might get it anyway,Keith.

a good 100 years old.

Hello,
No not Victorian, but 1930's, possibly into the '50's (as a continuum from before the war - rather like their Rainbow Ware). I've not seen black trailing with the diamond moulding.
