Hi Skandy  :)

If you could start a new topic for each subject please, otherwise it can get a bit confusing.  I've started a new topic for you here.   :)

Thanks!

Hi Skandy,
a distinctive mark!
Maybe you could add a pic of the item it belongs to, it may help narrow it down.
Cheers
Andy

Sorry I can't, it is not mine, I only photographed the mark.
It was a clear crystal vase approx 6 inch tall and engraved with honeysuckle
to the front, if this helps

thanks

I am fairly sure this is a mark used by Skruf (Sweden). I will post a photo later which should show some similarities.
See page 252 Fire and Sea (Smoke and Ice page 203) for a similar mark.

Here is a photo of a Skruf sticker.
The mark at the top of this thread, the mark I referred to earlier (in the books) and this sticker all have (what looks to me like) an infinity type symbol and a cross. All three marks vary but this is not uncommon as nearly all glassworks' identifying symbols evolve over time.

John.

I would photograph the symbols in the book but I think that would be breaking copyright, so best not to.

Just to add a complication....
According to the above mentioned books the same symbols were used (with the name Aseda) on a gold and blue label by Royal Krona after it's formation (and amalgamation of various glassworks). There is no mention of an etched mark like the (probably) upside down mark shown at the start of this thread.

an infinity type symbol and a cross...

which is the alchemist symbol for glass, so you might find it in various setups....

Interesting, looks like a long term project then....
