Hi all
I bought this vase the other day and I'm just wondering if someone could help me identifying the maker and date
It's quite a large and heavy vase, measuring at approx 18cm tall. It's marked Made in England on the base
The shape looks a bit like the tulip lamp made by Bagley, but I'm not sure if they made vase in the same pattern???
Any comments are much appreciated
Cheers

Made in England mark: According to Angela's and Parsons wonderful book: Bagley

Looks like a tulip vase to me. Does it glow?

Hi Pamela
Thanks for your confirmation
Hi Lustrousstone
It doesn't glow under the blacklight unfortunately:(.....It looks like its being made around 50's??
Cheers

I would guess so, that's when they seem to have stopped using uranium. I'll check date range in Bagley book tonight.

I've got a smaller quantity of Bagley in green in very different patterns : none is uranium :)

I've got a lot of Bagley green, all in uranium, including a tulip lamp that gets used every day. ;D I don't buy the non-U stuff. The tulip was made from 1936 to the early 1950s according to Bowey and Parsons

Congrats on these Christine! Believe it or not: What I do really like also, is an incoming green non uranium glass and search in the Bagley book of Angela and the Parsons first :rn: - and very often: Bingo! BTW : received a 'CLERKS' ink stand today! With an amethyst black and red-yellow cover - and marked: Made in England. But it is different in shape - has got a mould for a sponge or something between the inks :chky:
