Title: Bagley vs Rudolfova?

Just acquired what I thought was an 8" square version of the Bagley Salisbury vase (said to be 1932-onwards), as per Anne's photo at http://yobunny.org.uk/gallery1/displayimage.php?pid=700

But after looking through Marcus's CD last night, something rang a bell.  I checked again, and vase 9353 from the Rudolfova Hut pre-1958 catalogue appears to be identical - except that the artist's sketch for the RH vase has ridges on the square base.

Does anyone know why these vases are so similar? 
Whether Inwald "borrowed" the Bagley design or vice versa?
Or whether the version made at RH actually has the additional ridges?

Hi Chris,

If you check page 9 of Marcus's book, you will find your answer. What is important is Marcus's explanation of the legal aspects that allowed Bagley to plunder Czech producers designs.

I remembered reading the bit about Davidson taking on the Durit glassware, but completely missed the Bagley reference.  Note to self: more haste, less speed...
