Title: Duck/swan thing. Murano, Chinese or ????
Post by: chopin-liszt on October 05, 2005, 06:18:44 PM
:D:D:D
Hello, I found this and thought it looked a bit Whitefriarsy, but I doubt it!
Does anybody have any ideas who made it? It seems to have a pinkish interior, surrounded by milky stuff, cased in clear. The eye is ambery, definitely a different colour to the rest of it. It seems to be facing slightly sideways. Thanks in advance!

He's got a very well made head shape, which is similar-ish to WF, but I'm 99% sure he's not WF.  BUT...he's a leedle sweeedy isn't he! (http://tcwozere.co.uk/smileys/an1.gif) I can certainly see what drew you to him.

I think I have a phobia of saying something definitely is or isn't in a posting...it's sooooo scary!  I'm such a wimp!

It looks like a Murano duck.

The colours are the same as mine.  :)

The head looks similar to this Murano duck from Millers.

Same style of base as this one.

It definitely has quite a lot in common with yours, Tiger, even the different colour for the eye, although mine is cased in clear while your base is a bit more textured, which seems to give the effect of it sitting on water.
Max, I'm afraid what drew me to it was the low price tag on something that looked reasonably well-made. It's not my cup of coffee at all!

Should I shift it to the Murano board? I didn't want to put it there in case it was Chinese!
