Any thoughts on these two weird and whacky vases would be appreciated please ;)
The green one has a heavy solid bulbous base with an oval air bubble and a disc like foot. Not sure if this is meant to be a vase or a holder for necklaces. I've not seen one quite like this, although I do remember seeing some smaller pieces with pulled rims made by Bergdala.
The flint one is equally strange, and I thought it might be French
TIA ;)

Hi Anne
Do not know whom made them but Whitefriars made a smaller version of these which are called Tree fingers for holding rings so you may well be right because they are bigger and longer fingers to hold necklaces and the like watch chains maybe

Hi - and thanks ;)
I've got a Dartington one which I prefer to the WF ones.
I've tried hanging beads/necklaces on the green one and I now don't think it was intended for that use, unless they are all very short strands, but I could be wrong (I usually am ;D) I haven't any bracelets to try out. Also, on reflection, it seems someone went to a great deal of trouble to making just a jewellery stand. All the ring trees I've seen, have five appendages, probably for obvious reasons, whereas this larger beastie has six, (an extranumary digit ;D) which is probably not as obvious from my pic.
