Title: Any ideas about this teapot/posset pot/oil pourer?
Post by: athelny on June 26, 2009, 01:32:17 PM
I'm having problems with a positive ID on this pouring pot... First off... I've had suggestions of teapot, posset pot or oil pourer. Secondly what date and origin? So far I've had suggestions of 18th century Irish, 1920s Gray-Stan, 1880s Bohemian and finally Belgian.

Oil Pourer is most likely - what else would your maid top up your oil lamps with?
