Any ideas on this one please. I think it's Alexandrite glass as it does look a pale pink in normal light but more clear and a little bluey under flourescent light. Also, if anyone has any ideas where it's from.
Size is 5.75" x 3.75" & 2.5" high. Quite heavy - 600g with smooth & polished pontil.
Thanks in advance.

It doesn't look like a typical alexandrite piece. Alexandrite looks lavendar or purple under incandescent and blue under flourescent light. Perhaps it has a touch of alexandrite, though, that it giving it the characteristic. It is hard to tell from the picture.

Anita is right, i think this is the colour you need to look for, my figure is very lilac during the day but at night look's as thought he has been in the fridge all day he is so Blue.

I would lean towards Czechoslovakia as the most likely origin.
Good chance someone may know a factory. ;)

The more I look at the larger pictures of the bowl, the more I think that alexandrite is a possibility. Perhaps what I was calling lavender could be referred to as pink by other people. After all, lavender is blue-pink. Sue's pictures is a good reference to the color. The second picture looks very pink.

ZBS - Zelezny Brod, Czechoslovakia - or Czech republic when really alexandrite (from picture hard to recognise) or rather Chribska.
