Hi,
I picked up this vase yesterday - It's 7 3/4" high with polished rim & looks to be of a light green/brrownish colour. Faint signs of a pontil - It looks 1960's - 1970s in style - but not sure if it is modern or from that period - any help appreciated !
Thanks

There is no reason for using a pontil rod on a vase like this so what you have on the bottom is not a pontil mark. As far as I know these vases have been made by a number of companies in the 60s and 70s, notably in Germany and Scandinavia - but also Maastricht made similar things. You'll have a hard time to come up with a single airtight attribution.

The colour and shape seems right for Willem Wagenfeld for WMF possibly...

Some of the Whitefriars Soda range have a flat polished base and rim , i have one where there is just a tiny trace of the pontil scar ~quarter moon shape ~, is your vase round or ovoid . jp

Can we have a picture of the base please

Hi
Please see picture of the base attached - clearly the base is round & is slightly recessed in the middle.

That's not a pontil mark - just the slight ripples from blowing into a mould.
