Title: I need help with my Grandmother's jar - Carnival
Post by: bsanders on July 07, 2009, 12:36:28 AM
I am looking for information about a jar that was my grandmothers.  I have been looking online but have found nothing that looks like it.   I discovered your message board today while looking and thought maybe you nice people might be able to help me.

I believe the jar is carnival glass.
It is about 11 inches tall with the top on and 7 inches wide.
It has absolutely NO marks on it of any kind.

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

in that case it is a recent product. Plastic liners came into use in the seventies in large packaging industries (Belgium, Austria, Empoli, USA) while iridescence on clear glass became fashionable again around 10 years ago. I'm not sure your jar counts as carnival, which should be pressed and iridised...
