I'm sure this eggcup (?) has been featured some time in the past but I can't track it down. It looks to be old. Not even sure what type of bird it is - perhaps an emu?
Any help would be much appreciated :)

Looks like an emu to me

Is the shape on the left the head, with the beak stretching down to the ground? If so, it's definitely not an emu (which is like an ostrich), nor a kiwi (which has characteristically thin, curved beak). It looks to me like some sort of water bird - but then I'm not actually sure which lump is what piece of anatomy. :)

Stork perhaps? I agree with Cathy, doesn't look like an emu to me.

Thats got to be a stork , thats the one thing i am good at bird watching , well a few years ago . :-[

Beak on the left hand side ;D Haven't a clue as to what kind of bird it's meant to be, and emu was the first thing that came to mind.
It looks to be the same as the matt version that Gareth shows.

If you look at the egg cup as being on top of the beak, it is definitely an emu.
If you look at the beak as being down the left side (in the matt, one it is on the right side) it is definitely a stork.
So pleased I could help :24:
