Title: Is this Murano and if it is what the heck is it?

We also found these over the weekend. The label looks familiar but is not in the archives. Any thoughts will help. Thanks!

Fascinating nver seen them before , the only thing like it that i have seen  is the British yard or half yard of ale in the wooden stand .

... they look like what in Holland would be described as a "coachmen-glass" ("koetsiersglas") and is said to have been designed so that it would be easier for the driver of a coach - sitting high up - to be presented with a beer without having to get off.

What a great idea, I've not seen these before but a Google search brought up this page on a booze website which has a single one and some background (about 1/2 way down the page): http://www.theportforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1615#wrap

The Pub Shoppe website also has them and the smaller ones there are called a foot of ale (as opposed to the better-known yard of ale glasses we see): http://www.thepubshoppe.com/yardglass.html
