We found this this weekend and it looks like something Michael Bang might have designed. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

100% not Danish. Looks quite Italian to me.
-
So should I request this be moved to the Murano board? :-\
-
The bright color looks like it could be made in Empoli, Italy. Ivo may be able to say because he knows Empoli glass. I wouldn't move the message to Murano, but to the general glass board.
-
Empoli makes sense since there was a few other Empoli pieces at the auction; these people traveled Italy and Europe extensively. If it matters, this and the other piece under "Is this Murano and if it is what the heck is it?" on the Murano board came from the wife of actor Richard Conte's estate. He's a bit before my time but there were some really cool vintage photos of Frank Sinatra, etc. that were not for sale. Anyway, one of the other Empoli pieces was a huge purple cased ball? decanter which was awesome.

I would agree to calling this item "Empoli" - even though a positive attribution for anything made there is quite difficult unless you find stickers. The colour combination has certainly also been used in Sweden.
A complicating factor is that the Chinese now make their own version of "Opalina" (which is, in Italian, not the same as Opaline but rather denotes a single transparent colour backed by a lattimo inner) and often it is impossible to determine where an item is from without handling it.

Thank you, Ivo. I can add a few pictures of anything which will further help, like the bases, close-ups, etc. I'll have them up in a bit.

By chance I found this one on Ebay, item 310156394846. It's more of a yellow mustard color.
-
There is also this one, same technique, same color handle: item 150349562045

Definately holmegaard - i've seen a similar red bowl with white over lap thas part of the palet range - sorry no photo
-
Sorry, very very definitely not Holmegaard. Insofar as I know, everything on this page is Italian.
The cased mustard yellow is a typical Empoli colour. See this post on Empoli lighting for a colour-match: http://www.20thcenturyforum.com/italian-glass-f43/empoli-italy-t3844.htm#28843

Just for the sake of clarity, these are the Palet series drinking glass and pitcher. They came in different sizes, but all follow exactly the same form of rounded moulded foot and larger straight cylindrical body. Note, also, the brightness of the yellow.

Hej
Must agree with Nic, that it is definitely NOT Palet Holmegaard, it is a wrong colour and the shape of the jug is not present in Palet series.
A lot of items on the Internet is listed as a Palet item, but many of them wrongly and that goes for the Carnaby series as well, so there is every reason to make sure that it really is from the two Holmegaard series.
