It's slightly iridescent with gold leaf,

Actually it's silver leaf but there are various reactions that give it a gold feel.

Once a sufficient amount of glass has been gathered to make the piece, the silver leaf is put on at an early stage and then the whole mass of glass is rolled in a tray of sapphire blue chips. The colour is then melted in by reheating in the glory hole and then the piece is blown.

What is the height of this one?

I've got a piece of Adam's glass from the 1980s (can't remember exact date without checking) - he was obviously a child prodigy then :-)

Judging by some the (complimentary) comments about my work that I've heard at fairs and markets from stallholders unaware of my identity,  I was actually making glass before I was born! ;) Which is, relatively, a fairly accomplished skill. :rn:

It's just over eight and half inches high.

There were very few of these as it was difficult to control this colour effect.

Ah, it is almost as rare as tiger's eggs then!  ;D
