Title: large vase,origins please?

About 10 inches tall,rough broken pontil,well enamelled and gilded,no marks.

Looks late 19th century to me; could be Bohemian - similar stuff has been attributed to Harrach.  Equally, it might be Stourbridge.

The crimps at the top look like those found on rose bowls.

I wud agree with Ron  -  the crimps are very 'rose bowl' looking.     Having just waded right thru Truitt, this type of inward crimping is amost non-existant.   The Bohemian style seems to have been to have had their crimps outward facing - some large, some small, but virtually all outwards.   So maybe the reference to Stourbridge is more of a possibility.   Whichever way, it is a very desireable piece, and a good find.    Paul S.

Nothing even vaguely comparable in Silber and Fleming or in Gulliver
