Title: Val St Lambert double candlestick
Post by: glassobsessed on August 03, 2009, 12:48:52 PM
I bought this a few weeks ago and offered it to a friend of a friend who "likes VSL". Thankfully, he decided it was not for him so I have been trying to find out something about it. I am trying to discover who may have designed it, if it has a name and when it likely to have been made.

My first impression was maybe it was designed in the 1920s but I am not sure now. Anyway, it is signed on the bottom, made of good quality heavy crystal and looks to be pressed from a two part mould. Dimensions are 20cm wide and 11cm tall.

Thanks, John.

Hey John,

Better late then never...your candleholder is part of the 'Service Impérial', labelled 'Candelabre' and dated 1953. Catalogue VSL 1951-1975, page 23.

Voilà voilà, hope this helps,

Anne.
