Title: Scandy/German random bubble vase.

I purchased this vase yesterday in a bootsale and I would like your expert opinion as to where it might have been produced please, I suspect Germany but what do I know!. It is full of random multi shaped but mostly stretched bubbles. It has a clear base and a polished round pontil mark. It seems to me to be a good quality item, quite heavy at 700gms and measures 9" tall.

My question was harmlessly directed to Patricia as I was just interested to see how the vase might have looked with the enamelling added. But then if it's going to upset Ivo again perhaps we should just leave it lie.

the Reijmyre piece has an etched decoration - not enameled - just like the one in the attached photograph. Sorry for the poor photo quality. It is from a range of glassware where the colour, the bubbles and the naive decoration were part of the design. Patricia's vase has the same colour and the same decoration, so IDing was not too hard once the shape was confirmed.
And what could you mean by "upset Ivo again" :24: I don't think you ever tried!

I think I realised all along that it was some form of bulb vase but I wish I could have found out from where it originated. The clear base really makes me wonder if it's Swedish but the bubbles and polished pontil are confusing that guess.
