Height 11" / 29cm, no markings; made in a 2-piece mould, top tooled. The motif is on one side only, perhaps for fixing a paper label? The glas is greyish, very seedy and with a purple tinge - probably from standing in the sun for many years. There is also a lot of wear on the bottom.
Is it a vase - or is it a pickle jar which was closed off with a cork and a cloth? Or would it be a counter jar? And would 1860s be too early an estimate for this piece?
