This is a fabulous big bowl which I know has at least a few decades to it. It measures 12 inches long by approx 8 inches wide.
I'm guessing pressed glass, it weighs over 3 kilos, too heavy for my scales.
Does anyone recognise it please?
Clueless! Thanks for your help as always.

Also, is that damage underneath, seems an unlikely place for a dint, like a hollow in the centre of the ground base, would that be from manufacture?
Thanks again.

Hi there
this would have been mould blown not pressed. by damage do you mean the little bit right in the centre of the base?? if so its not damage its from where the pontil would have been.. when it was made it would have had a toold attatched this is cut /snapped off then the base is ground and polished off sometimes there is a mark like this left
sorry cant be any help to who though

Michelle is right, that kind of mark was often left when grinding the pontil scar right out would have removed too much glass and is considered perfectly acceptable

Thanks to you both for your help, fingers crossed that someone will recognise it

Yes thats the pontil scar on the bottom it looks like a very nice 50s/60s Italian bowl poss Barovier or similar.jp
