Title: Corroso vase please help indentify
Post by: steve9255 on August 30, 2009, 01:52:27 PM
Hi this is a 20 inch fab quality vase which I know to be more than 50 years old -- does anybody have an idea of what this might be? Is it Italian?

All help greatly appreciated! Cheers Steve

HI Steve, Welcome to the GMB.

Would it be possible to get an image of both the underside of the iece and also the rim of the mouth? It will aid in identification.

Craig

Hi Craig,

I dont know how representative the top rim will be -- this used to be a lamp base (with the wire comming from the top copper surround so it is now an intact vase-wiring was 1940-1950s that why I know its that old -- bottom is cut, no pointil but corroso over the bottom as well.

PS I have another one in blue but I cant upload here over 125KB and dont know how to downsize pics!! *stress*
