An amber plate really big
-
Hello I have figured out that this is called a Tazza but still unable to place it anywhere. I have since bought a couple of books just to generally learn about glass but they are about techniques as opposed to items. Is there anyone that would be able to input please.
-
No not really a tazza. Tazza is another word for comport or compote, which is a bowl shaped dessert dish with a stem.
-
OK thought I was getting somewhere lol. Will stick with plate then.

To me this looks French, date circa 30s-50s. Wouldn't rule out the possibility of it being Czech or Belgian though....
-
Charger might be a better word. I think I'm inclined to agree with Steven's vague answer. Have you looked at Pamela's site?
-
I have looked on Pamela's site yes but admittedly whilst looking for the czech red and amber bowl. Off to have another look now thanks

Had a good look through Pamela's site and unfortunately not there nor anything near that I can see  this I think shall be put to one side for when I have my books.
