Hello I have figured out that this is called a Tazza but still unable to place it anywhere.  I have since bought a couple of books just to generally learn about glass but they are about techniques as opposed to items.  Is there anyone that would be able to input please.

No not really a tazza. Tazza is another word for comport or compote, which is a bowl shaped dessert dish with a stem.

To me this looks French, date circa 30s-50s. Wouldn't rule out the possibility of it being Czech or Belgian though....

Charger might be a better word. I think I'm inclined to agree with Steven's vague answer. Have you looked at Pamela's site?

I have looked on Pamela's site yes but admittedly whilst looking for the czech red and amber bowl.  Off to have another look now thanks

Had a good look through Pamela's site and unfortunately not there nor anything near that I can see  :cry: this I think shall be put to one side for when I have my books.
