Title: Glass bottle identification
Post by: Lisma on September 02, 2009, 03:42:49 PM
I am looking for some advice. I found a glass bottle when digging out my patio and wondered whether anyone may be able to shed any light on its age and what it was used for. It looks pretty ancient to me - it's very unsymetrical and has a raised pattern on it, a tall neck and the stopper is in the bottom of it. It looks like there are 2 seams down opposite sides of the bottle. It's 16cm tall with a long neck. I'd be grateful for any advice you could give me.

Hi and welcome to the board. I don't know if we have many bottle enthusiasts but someone may be able to help.

If not, you might find something useful in the Bottles section of the Glasslinks Library here: http://glasslinks.yobunny.org.uk/articles.php?lng=en&pg=15
