Title: Glass Art meets Microbiology: Luke Jerram
Post by: Cathy B on September 07, 2009, 04:05:36 AM
Thought someone might be interested in these... A zoologist friend of mine sent me this link showing the manufacture of some extraordinarily beautiful biological models, all clear, handblown glass. The precision is mindboggling, and the objects are truly beautiful.

WOW! They are some of the most fascinating bits of glass I've seen - thanks Cathy. The former chemist sat beside me (Barry) and I have just looked through them all in awe. The size of the one at the Wellcome Trust is astounding!

Do you think the Wellcome Trust could be persuaded to donate a little one to Broadfield House?  Or possibly even show them all in one of Broadfield House's temporary exhibitions?
