Title: one little dish becomes two little dishes? any info please

hi picked this up the other week  and didnt realise it was 2 little dishes in one. as they were stuck together
really liked it. its 3 1/2 in diameter and 2 1/2 high. got a feeling its a modern peice? can anyone give any info thanks. all :)

My mother had a few of these in the 50s, she used them as face powder containers and for trinkets/jewellery etc on her dressing table. Obviously they can be used as a lidded pot or two separate unlidded pots - but you know that aready! ; As a child I used to find them fascinating how the edges interlocked and sat firmly in place.  D  Emmi

They are still made I think... I tend to see a large quantity of them around, in charity shops and in gift shops... possibly made in the Far East for the giftware trade... some of them are very pretty.
