Title: Bowl with applied frills,i.d please.

6 inches across with a flat moulded base,some wear,used to think it was Stourbridge now not a clue,Keith.

I have something in similar colours that has been ascribed to Boulton & Mills, so your initial thought that it was Stourbridge was probably correct.

These are typical Portieux colours introduced circa 1812 and have been in production since. Also known as the service George Sand, in latter years reissued by Passavant la Rochère. Many French glassworks (such as St. Denis and Sèvres) have used this colour combination.

Thanks for replies,heard of Boulton and Mills but,apart from St Denis,not the other French makers,Keith.
