Could this be by the Spanish company that makes reproductions of antique (particularly Roman) glass?  There was a discussion here a couple of months ago, and I seem to recall a link to their website.

Not something I recognise from Spain - I would suggest Murano (Seguso?) - assuming the underside is properly finished...

Hi Norman, would it be possible to see the underside, a side view where the base meets the body, and also an image of a side where a handle is attached to see the design in the glass around that area.....  From the one pic that is posted, it does not strike me as Italian......

The black glass looks very nice to me. This looks to be a fairly good quality vase. It reminds me of some of the mid-century Murano pasta vases. I'm very open to arguments, though.
