Title: can anyone identify this ruby encased vase please ?

Here we have a ruby red large encased vase measuring 8" high by 5" and weighs 1.8KG lots of natural base wear althogh pic does not pick it up too well so has some age i think.thought it might be whitefriars but has no polished pontil but then they didn't always .Any thoughts ?

I think that is Polish and quite recent, by the look of the underside, the colour and the casing.

I would say definatly not whitefriars, probably modern

Still nice quality though, from the bevelled top rim.  ;)
