Was wondering what folks thought of this multicoloured glass? I think its fairly tough too attribute and date all i can say it was purchased from the local school carboot off an elderly couple for pennies for two they said it was murano glass does anyone know?? Im hoping it might be quite saleable as my last few purchases have made me wonder why im into glass?? :spls2:

Looks like slag glass to me,Davidsons?one of those northern producers,haven't seen that colour before,Keith.

I had the same sugar and creamer earlier this year , I can not remember 100% for sure but believe they were Sowerby, maybe worth checking the center of the underside of the base as I think mine had a faint Sowerby Peacock trade mark the creamer was not marked

Thanks for replying!! It has a faint curved line to the base may well be part of a peacock thankyou... :hiclp:

Also just check the center of the base of the creamer for any faint Sowerby trade mark as it may have a mark as I have just checked through some old pictures and found it was the creamer which has the Sowerby trade mark, although it quite common to find certain items where some are marked and other not .
So the pieces would date from around the 1880's give or take a few years
