Ok I am gonna have a bash through googling found a very similar item designed by Jules Barbe but with different rd number and colour a brighter pink. Jules Barbe designed acorn and oak leaves.

Not quite sure what you are flummoxed about. I think the number is 80167, which is the registered design number of the rim crimp. The acorn is one of the less common designs, although not rare. I doubt either of us could afford this one (http://www.prices4antiques.com/glass/webb/Webb-Burmese-Epergne-Acorn-Decoration-6-Pieces-12-inch-D9815079.htm) I don't know if this is a Barbe design though

Thanks for replies, the reg' no' is very faint and the old eyes need new glasses, and your right I dread to think how much that piece is!Keith.

Thanks to you all. I've just pencilled in a marginal note by:
3215 Oak (on Lilac Burmese) 1887
to make it read:
3215 Oak (on Lilac Burmese) 1887 also on Burmese
The registration for the rim was dated September 5, 1887.
