Title: Help with id of elephant

I love this elephant but unfortunately no markings.  It is heavy with a blueish/grey tinge so I assume it has maybe a touch of aluminium in it.  Not Art vannes as I have many other pieces of their glass and it is not the same colouration.  Possibles for me is something along the lines of Daum but could be way off the mark.  Could anyone offer opinions on id please.

Is the base ground and not polished? It could be from Ngwenya Glass of Swaziland http://www.ngwenyaglass.co.sz/african-animals/Page-1.html, made with recycled glass resulting in a coloured tint.

Thank you that could be a possibility.  At first look the elephant looks clear but against my other pieces it definately has a tinge to it.  You are also correct with the non polished ground base.
