Title: My biggest ever lump of glass , Murano Bowl ,50s? 6kg

My 2nd piece of the 4 ,purchased at auction this week,
Guess its 5 or 6 KG, 74cm wide !
Triple sommerso, bowl, pink/green/yellow/blue
Pretty sure its Murano (rather than Czech or other)
Any suggestion to maker very welcome, how you actually make a piece of glass this heavy , well,  :o :o :o

Sorry, clueless about the bowl although for no particular reason the colour combo looks quite modern to me. Lovely to see your Crizzle stone again, not sure I could have left those labels on if it was mine and I was keeping it!

We had a long discussion about those labels and the consensus was to leave them, as they were possibly original

I understand the interest and the value of keeping them, but I wonder if I could put up with them obscuring the view. If they were on the base and out of view then the question would not arise for me. Glad I did not have to make that choice.....well no, not really!

I did take the auction label off, but the old dymo with the £ S D price, i like, a bit of extra history,
i sometimes turn it around where there are no labels ;D

Just thought id bump the bowl up , i think its genuine Murano, good maker, circa 60s-80s,
it came from auction, same lot, with some other lovely Murano, see here,

Its had a good or professional repair to the end of one wing, so someone thought it was worth doing!
Any suggestions welcome, maybe then in a day or 2 , it could be moved to Murano board.

I think that the problem with people replying is that there is so much sommerso around these days that it's hard to tell from a photograph whether it's old or modern, Murano, Czech, Chinese or ? The colours don't look Murano to me, but neither do they look like older Czech. I can't say that the pieces in the link look particularly Murano-like to me either, though.

I'd be interested to hear from some of the people who have more expertise in Murano than me.

BTW, I'm not commenting on their quality, just their origin.

Even I have not found exactly the same piece in Chribska catalogues and have rather small skills in Murano, I would place orrigin of this bowl rather to Northern Bohemian Chribska than near to lagoon.

I found a collection that has the same arch pattern at sides, also colour and foot looks Czech.

its a nice lump and is sitting in pride of place in the front window, probably as close as i will
get to an answer for now, but its not that important to me for this one,
I will think of it as European late 20th Century ;D
