does anyone think this is a fake,it is rather pretty but i am not too sure. lynn

well Kieth it does look the same apart from the patterning,did you get any IDs on the piece ? lynn

This is the first time I've posted this piece,have no idea of its origin but have some of its relatives,see pic',Keith.

Either Eastern European or Chinese, I suspect.

Not really a 'fake', as they're not pretending to be anything - they're just in a broad 'Venetian style'.

A fair number of the older ones, especially the multi-coloured ones like Keith's set of three were also made in Czechoslovakia I think. I know these are always on ebay as Murano, but I don't know that I've ever seen one that I thought was.
