Don't have much of an idea for this one. Nice thin glass - might this be 'teal blue' - no marks tho, unfortunately. The top has been ground and slightly bevelled, and size is about 14.5 cms. in diameter. Three feet produced in the Victorian 'snail scroll' style, showing reasonable wear. No. pontil mark, just very smooth on the base. What sort of use might this have been for - desert bowl perhaps.? Sorry the pics. aren't too good. Grateful for any suggestions, and thanks for looking. I have a similar bowl in clear glass and several little desert bowls to go with it. They too have 3 curled feet but I think the bases are a bit more 'curved' - judging from your photos. I have seen quite a few in this style here and there, I suspect they have been made by lots of factories for many years. Pinning down a particular maker may be tough.

thanks for the comments John - and wud agree that this is one of those rather vague pieces which, whilst attractive, are going to be nigh on impossible to run down in the usual way. May just suddently see some attribution one day when I'm not actually looking for it. Seems good quality, and I do like the snail design for the foot. thanks for looking. cheers Paul S.
