Title: Unusual Rustic Thorn Vases in Cased Brown with Mica Flakes
Post by: Mosquito on October 07, 2009, 05:07:41 PM
Hi,

Hoping somebody has an idea as to the origin of these unusual thorn vases. They measure about 7 1/4 inches (18.5 cm) tall. The colours are very unusual, the inner layer is a reddish brown terracotta colour, this has been overlaid with mica flakes then cased in an oily yellow colour glass, this gives the gold appearance seen on the photos. There's no reaction to UV light so the yellow is not Uranium glass.

Thanks,
Steven
