Title: Venetian glass jug
Post by: chriscooper on October 11, 2009, 07:12:04 PM
Well made, really light weight, fine glass. Is it something special? Victorian, Venetian or just plain modern
8.5" high, weighs 3.5 oz

Thanks Chris

Lovely piece, this Etruscan style ewer. By the looks of it this is contemporry lamworked borosilicate glass, so not old. But as good as it gets. Could be Italian, could be German. Superb craftsmanship!

Thank you, it's a wonder it's still in one piece, chucked in a box with some modern drinking glasses at a boot fair, seller looked at me 'gone out' when I asked for bubble wrap or newspaper to wrap it up, fished in the boot and came up with a plastic bag ::)
