Title: Caithness 'Eggs'?

Can just read Caithness on the bases but very little else,the yellow one says midsummer.....?any info' gratefully received,Keith.

"Collectable Eggs" were introduced in 1998 - and in 1999 there was a set 5 five, including

which are the closest to yours I find - they are named "Daffodil" and "Violet", however - no "Midsummer" in this series.
If you go to Scotlandsglass (link in my signature below) and do a product search on "egg" (http://www.scotlandsglass.co.uk/cms/index.php?keyword=egg&Search=Search&Itemid=51&option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse) you'll find a few more.

Any further info on names (like an image of the signed base) would be appreciated - as would be your permission to use your image(s) on Scotlandsglass, as to date we only have scanned catalogue images of these weights.

Please find more pic's of the 'eggs',the first is marked(had to get a very strong lens to see,impossible to photograph with my camera as very faint)Caithness,Midsummer Daffodil,Scotland the other Caithness,Midsummer Violet,Scotland,I will see if I can get my son to take a pic' of the base,his camera is better than mine,Keith.(If pic's not good enough let me know and will do some more)

OK - so likely the entire series is named "Midsummer something" - with "Midsummer" just not mentioned in the catalogue. Problem solved - even without an image of the base signature.

Thank you also for the (implicit) permission to use your images: it would be even better if you could send me the original photographs (with higher resolution) directly - you'll find a mail icon in the left hand column for that purpose.

Will do,for some reason my computor(built by our kids) doesn't allow me to use that 'pop-up' screen,is it possible just to copy out the email and send it that way?
