Title: Venetian Basket? Help please

I've had this in my cabinet since the summer after buying it at a car boot sale. Its a pretty little basket and the glass has a cross hatch pattern and yellow. The painted lines on it are gold and it has gold sprinkling in the clear glass. Is it Venetian and does any one have any idea as to it's age please.

The basket is 3.5" diameter and weighs 93 grams. I have taken another pic looking from the top. Excuse the smudge in the middle of my camera lens!

I'd call that an open salt and I believe it is either Italian or French.

It does not look Italian to me. You might also want to look into Mikasa.
