Hi all
as you may be aware im not that great with paperweights  but im learning
I have this pretty weight, which im not sure on the age or maker
central cane is yellow & white, surrounded by a ring of 6 more canes in yellow and white (in the centre of each is a red dot pin prick size)
the outer canes are in 1-2-2 formation red and white with red pin prick centre, white with orangey yellow centre then white and red with a dark centre.
Between each row there is 8 white latticino (i think thats the right term for these) canes. All on a red ground
The base i believe has been heat treated? where the pontil was
The shape to me is a little unusual, it has the regular base (where the pontil was) then it has a ground down and polished facet on the side so the weight stands up at an angle, making it much easier to see the design.
I might be completly wrong but i think it was made like this?? or has it been damaged and polished up, if so its been done very well
6.5cms diameter 3.5cms high
can anybody give me any details on this weight?
many thanks
