Hi all
This is another piece I have rescued, after two years, from my garage - and believe me, there is a lot of it. The reason it's in my garage is because I couldn't ID it. So I'm warning you, you're gonna see a lot of me. Having said that, I have learnt a lot in the last two years, so could be very pleasantly surprised when I really get down to it!
Any ideas on ID please?
Many thanks
Pauline

hi there
im probably well off the mark but the first thing that came to mind for me was alum bay glass, Isle of wight (not to be mixed up with Isle of wight studio glass of course), purely the colouring and ive had a few of there earlier pieces which had that kind of rustic finish to it

Didn't think of that - thanks Michelle!

Is that circular indent a pontil mark or just a mould indent?
-
I think it's a pontil mark - it has a rough bit on it.
-
A mould mark would rule out Alum Bay, but a pontil mark is OK
-
did alum bay never do mould blown then?? i thought some of there earlier stuff included mould blown.
-
It is mould blown but by hand rather than in a bottle factory. It's been put on the punty after blowing to work the top.

I'm impressed - all very technical!
